100% and as much as I love trends and riding a cultural wave together, it just feels like if 10 of the major beauty brands all have an awesome new lip oil or scent etc. that they’re just cannibalizing one another and simultaneously giving us fewer choices in a way

It’s definitely getting stagnant but at the same time I feel like there are so many more niche options than there used to be. The biggest challenge for me has been figuring out what brands to trust in terms of what will irritate my skin, what will the scent be like, will it work? There is still a lot of uncertainty even with so many options
